LMA NURSERY
The LMA pioneered the nursery education and Grade “R” classes for over fifty years. The LMA set very high standards of educating learners in premises designed to meet the required Health Department and GDE standards. The school is based at two centres with an enrolment of 160 learners. The Nursery School employs four qualified Grade “R” teachers. The learners that cannot afford to pay the fees are given a bursary from the LMA. The LMA’s policy is not to turn any learner away for lack of funds!!
The LMA Nursery and Pre-School strives to make learning a fun experience by teaching the alphabet and words practically through games, visual aids, songs, poems, rhymes, actions and captivating stories.
Our themes are prepared by the Gauteng Department of Education (G.D.E) and our system implements these themes through discussions, practical activities, stories, pictures and posters .The object here is to expand the learners knowledge holistically with the worksheets to enhance listening, reading and writing skills and perception games improve thinking and reasoning .
On the Islamic side we implement an extensive Islamic program to ensure that the fibre of Islamic ethos prevails in the etiquette, behaviour and manners of our learners.
In addition to theme work intensive school readiness program is implemented to prepare the child easy assimilation into mainstream schooling
